Stroud MP Siobhan Baillie visited a charity that helps people in financial, health and housing difficulties. Ms Baillie dropped into the Marah Trust based at the Scout Hut in Stroud. The initiative is a first port of call drop-in service for people during their time of need. The MP met with the charity chairwoman Jackie Natt and the manager Michael …
Our traditional Christmas lunch for our guests took place this year at the Stroud Valley Scouting Centre in Stroud. As usual we had gifts and hampers for our guests along with a full turkey dinner and the not so traditional, but well loved, trifle. This was all made possible by the hard work of our volunteers, cooks and the drop-in …
Once again our lovely Marah volunteers, helped by some of our guests, decdorated a Christmas Tree at the St Lawrence’s Church Christmas Tree Festival this year. The angels represent our kind volunteers, and the oranges and sweets represent the meals lovingly prepared and freely give, to all who are in need. The named angels reflect some of our guests, whom …
Knitted with Love. These hat and scarves were beautifully knitted by one of our elderly supporters for our guests at Marah. Our guests really appreciate the care and devotion that has gone into their making.

Rev Jo Regan (volunteer) led the service and she read some prayers and played gentle music. The guests were invited to say a few words about their loved ones and to …
Jake and Theo, two brothers who grew up locally, decided to take their off-road running skills to a new level. They ran the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge for the Marah Trust on June 24th. They were joined by hundreds of others on a circular route from Cirencester via Painswick and back via Dursley to Cirencester. They set off at 7am …
We have two amazing volunteers, Jake and Theo, who have offered to take up the Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge and raise much needed funds for Marah. The Cotswold Way offers beautiful views and tough hills. The route takes you through quintessential English villages and well-trodden footpaths and trails. The base-camp in Cirencester is the hub for a full challenge looped …
It was with great delight that we were able to welcome out guests back inside for a festive meal. About 60 guests attended and they were warmly served by our fantastic volunteers. A traditional fayre of Turkey and all the trimmings (with veggie alternative) was followed by trifle, pudding or cake. Many thanks to all of those that made it …
